- These are the legally binding terms of services (“TOS”) for GG Publishing ApS (DBA Heroic Tales ApS) and its games, websites, forums, and other related services (collectively, the “Services”).
- By using the Company’s Services, you agree to these TOS. If you do not agree, you may not use the Company’s Services.
- You are given a personal license to access and use the Company’s Services, but the Company owns and continues to own all rights related to the Services.

- Introduction
- These TOS are a legally binding contract between you and GG Publishing ApS, a company incorporated in Denmark with CVR number 45448320, and registered office at Jorcks Passage 1A, 2., DK-1162 Copenhagen K, Denmark (the “Company”).
- Agreeing to these TOS is a precondition for accessing and using the Company’s Services.
- Service Description
- The Services include:
- The game(s) developed and published by the Company, currently Dark Wonderland.
- The website heroictales.dk, which may provide news, updates, and community information.
- Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old, or such higher minimum age as required by the laws of your country of residence (e.g. 16 in certain EU jurisdictions), to use the Services. If you are under the required age, you may only use the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should notify us immediately at [insert support email].
- Your account information and any other personal data you provide will be collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://heroictales.dk/privacy-policy), which explains what personal information the Company collects and how the Company uses and protects it.
- Health & Safety Disclaimer
- The Services may contain flashing lights, images, or patterns that could trigger seizures, loss of consciousness, or other health issues for individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or other pre-existing conditions. Player discretion is advised.
- If you or anyone in your household has a history of seizures or epilepsy, please consult a doctor before using the Services. Stop playing immediately if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, or convulsions.
- The Company recommends taking regular breaks while using the Services to avoid fatigue or other health issues, and asks that you play responsibly and be mindful of your wellbeing.
- Access and License
- The Company grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, access, and use the Services solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, subject to these TOS.
- Except as expressly permitted in these TOS, you may not, under any circumstances:
- Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, merge, translate, distribute, or publicly display any part of the Services.
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, transfer, or otherwise exploit the Services or any rights in them.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying structure of the Services, except where this is expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technological measures or security features designed to protect the Services.
- Use the Services for any commercial purpose without the Company’s prior written consent, including advertising, promotion, or offering in-game services such as boosting or power-levelling.
- The Company reserves all rights not expressly granted to you in these TOS.
- User Conduct and Community Rules
- When using the Services, you agree to follow the rules below in subsection a-l. Failure to do so may be considered a material breach of these TOS and can lead to suspension or permanent termination of your account.
- Personal use only: Use the Services only for your personal enjoyment, not for commercial, political, or advertising purposes.
- No redistribution: Do not copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, distribute, or publicly display the Services, accounts, virtual currency, or virtual items except as expressly allowed.
- No cheating or exploits: Do not create, use, or share cheats, bots, hacks, mods, exploits, or any unauthorized third-party software that interacts with or affects the Services.
- No account trading: Do not share, buy, sell, transfer, or steal user accounts or access codes.
- No power-levelling or boosting: Do not play on another user’s account or allow others to play on your account in order to artificially increase levels, ranks, or leaderboard positions, whether or not for payment.
- Respect others: Do not harass, abuse, threaten, or engage in hate speech, racism, sexism, or any other offensive or illegal conduct in chats or interactions.
- No malicious content: Do not upload viruses, malware, spyware, or any harmful code.
- No unauthorized access or interference: Do not interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services, and do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, servers, or accounts not made available to the public.
- No data mining: Do not intercept, scrape, or collect data from the Services or from other users without authorization.
- No infringement: Do not upload or use content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
- No impersonation: Do not impersonate other players, Company staff, or misrepresent your affiliation with the Company.
- Follow restrictions: Comply with any regional, language, or legal restrictions that apply to your use of the Services.
- The Company reserves the right to monitor content and communications on the Services and to take action if these rules are violated.
- Virtual Items, Purchases, and Payments
- Some Services may allow you to purchase access to virtual currency, items, or subscriptions (collectively, “Virtual Content”). By making such purchases, you agree that:
- License only: Virtual Content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within the Services only. You do not own Virtual Content, and it has no real-world monetary value.
- No cash-out: Virtual Content cannot be exchanged, transferred, redeemed, or refunded for real money, goods, or services outside the Services.
- Final and non-refundable: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
- Changes and availability: The Company may modify, manage, control, remove, or otherwise alter the availability, balance, features, or value of Virtual Content at any time, as part of normal gameplay balancing or for business/technical reasons. You acknowledge that such changes do not give rise to any right to compensation or refund.
- Payment authorization: You are responsible for ensuring you are authorized to use the chosen payment method (including obtaining account holder/parent/guardian approval where applicable) and for paying any applicable fees and taxes. Inappropriate chargeback or refund requests are not permitted.
- Third-party platforms: Payments are processed through third-party platforms (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), and the terms and refund policies of those platforms may also apply.
- Intellectual Property
- All rights in and to the Services, including software, artwork, graphics, text, logos, sound, music, and trademarks, are owned by the Company or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted to you in these TOS are reserved.
- You are granted only the limited rights expressly described in these TOS. No ownership rights in the Services or any content are transferred to you.
- If you submit user-generated content (such as chat messages, usernames, avatars, or other contributions), you remain the owner of such content but grant the Company a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit such content in connection with the Services. The Company reserves the right to remove, edit, or disable user-generated content at its discretion if it violates these TOS or is otherwise objectionable.
- Updates and Changes to the Services
- The Services may change over time. The Company may release updates, patches, or new versions, and you may be required to install these to continue using the Services.
- The Company may modify, suspend, or discontinue certain features or the Services entirely, at any time, for technical, legal, or business reasons. You acknowledge that such changes may affect the functionality of the Services, as well as virtual items, progress, or achievements, and that you will not be entitled to compensation or refunds as a result.
- Termination
- You may stop using the Services at any time.
- The Company may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if you breach these TOS, violate community rules, fail to pay applicable fees, or if the Company decides to discontinue the Services.
- In case of suspension or termination, you may lose access to your account, progress, and virtual items without refund, and the Company shall have no liability to you in connection with such suspension or termination.
- Any provisions of these TOS which by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) shall remain in effect.
- Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Without limiting the foregoing, the Company expressly disclaims any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.
- The Company does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected. The Company also does not guarantee that the Services will be compatible with all devices, operating systems, or hardware configurations.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Services.
- Nothing in these TOS shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
- Amendments to the TOS
- The Company may update or amend these TOS from time to time for legal, technical, or business reasons. Updated versions will be posted on the Company’s website and may also be notified within the Services.
- Continued use of the Services after the updated TOS takes effect will constitute your acceptance of the revised terms.
- Miscellaneous
- If any part of these TOS is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- These TOS do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and the Company.
- The Company’s failure to enforce any provision of these TOS shall not be considered a waiver of its rights.
- You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these TOS without the Company’s prior written consent. The Company may assign its rights and obligations under these TOS without restriction.
- Headings are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these TOS.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These TOS shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, excluding its choice of law rules.
- Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these TOS, including any disputes regarding the existence, validity, implementation, or termination thereof, shall be settled by the ordinary courts in Denmark with the District Court of Copenhagen as the chosen venue.
- If you are a consumer residing outside Denmark, you may also bring claims in the courts of your country of residence where mandatory law gives you such right.
- Nothing in these TOS affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- If you are a resident of the United States, the following additional terms apply:
- Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these TOS or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
- Arbitration shall be conducted in English and, unless you and the Company agree otherwise, will take place in the county where you reside.
- You and the Company agree that arbitration shall be the exclusive means of dispute resolution, and you waive any right to a jury trial. All claims must be brought solely on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
